Hey everyone! Since the gift-giving season is upon us, I thought I would share some fun gift ideas for those crazy people you know who love to travel! After doing some research, I’ve found these interesting ideas for the travel-enthusiast…that maybe they don’t already have!!
ON THE ROAD:
Collar Perfect: Portable Travel Iron– $34.95
This iron is small and compact, which is perfect for anyone constantly on the move! It can be used to clamp down on collars or pockets, or flattened out and used as a regular iron. I understand that most hotels have irons, but if you’re a budget traveler staying in a hostel or Airbnb, that may not be the case. Unpacking your wrinkly clothes from your suitcase will no longer be a problem! Check out this link here.
Lewis n Clark Electrolight Backpack & Duffel– $24.95
These bags are lightweight, compact and waterproof. What more could a traveler ask for? It can be packed into a small pouch and then opened up when needed. The straps are adjustable so it can be used by anyone. Check it out here.
Platypus Plus Bottle -$16.95 (Amazon Prime)
This collapsable water bottle makes it easy to pack when traveling. You can bring it through airport security and fill it up before your flight. It can hold 1 liter of liquids and is made of durable material. Much cheaper than always buying water bottles everywhere you go (then throwing them out because they take up too much space). Find it on Amazon here.
Music Headphone Splitter– $10
This little gadget allows you to have up to 3 sets of headphones hooked up to one device (phone or laptop). For anyone on a long flight who wants to watch a movie or listen to some music with their friend or S.O. this is a quick fix! Check it out here.
Ultra Compact Portable Charger -$15.99 (Amazon Prime)
Many travelers use their phones to take photos and videos while on the road, which can drain the battery. Quick fix: a portable charger! This one is top rated for travelers, and can charge a phone fully two times! (It also charges 4 times faster than a computer USB port, so you’ll be back to taking pictures in no time). This portable charger takes a few hours to charge after it’s been used. To be sure, plug it in at night before your next day of adventures! Check it out on Amazon, here. (You can find similar products at Target, Walmart or Best Buy).
Airbnb Gift Card– $25 & up
Most often times the most expensive part of traveling (besides the flight) can be where you stay! Make it easier on your traveling friends by giving them an Airbnb gift card to use towards their next trip. It’s relatively easy and will be greatly appreciated! To learn more, click here.
Shadow Box / Ticket Holder– $35.00*
This isn’t exactly something you would use on the road, but for decoration afterwards! Many travelers keep postcards, tickets and other mementos from their journeys and this is the perfect way for them to display it all. Here’s the link!
Day & Night Mug– $6.99
For the tea & coffee lovers, this awesome mug changes from night to day when hot! Since it’s a map of the world, I thought this was a unique idea! See the mug transform here.
Adventure Fund Decoration– $25.00*
This is another decoration for someone who loves to travel, but it also doubles as motivation to save money! Everybody who loves traveling is always working towards their next big trip. Here’s a decorative way to save your extra pennies for that! Although I believe this is something you could make yourself, if you’re not very crafty, you can get it here.
World Map – $11.05 (Amazon Prime)
This large map (52″ x 32″) is meant to be framed and hung on display! It’s vintage look can add nice charm to anyone’s house. For a more advanced look, add a large piece of cork board behind the map and add red pins so they can mark where they’ve traveled. Check out the map here and the pins here.
