There are so many adventures that are perfect to do with your Mom, depending on your travel styles. We have been lucky to take some incredible trips with our Moms and want to share some of our favorites here. Whether you want to party, relax or learn together, we’ve got you covered with the best places to travel with your Mom!
Celebrate with Mom in Paris
Paris is one of the best places to travel with your Mom because it offers so many incredible things to do! From sipping champagne as you watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle to getting lost in the Louvre – there are endless activities for you and Mom to do. Paris is also a great jumping off point to see other places like Versailles & Monet’s Gardens too!
Learn with Mom in London
London is the New York of Europe – but maybe even better?! From palaces to museums, you will have plenty to learn about there. London is also a great first international trip to take with your Mom, since they speak English & there isn’t a lot of culture shock. You may even want to indulge in some afternoon tea or take a trip out to Windsor to see where the Queen holidays!
Relax with Mom in Sevilla
Sevilla is the perfect destination if you’re looking to relax. The Spring and Fall offers warm temperatures so you can dine outside, sip sangria and take in the quiet back roads. One of the best things about Sevilla is that it doesn’t feel like a city at all – in fact, it feels as though you’ve traveled back in time. You can really embrace the slow Spanish meals and relaxing way of life. Stroll Plaza de España, catch sunset on top of Las Setas and try tapas in El Centro.
Adventure with Mom in Cusco
For those adventurous Moms out there, we recommend bringing them to Cusco! Peru is one of the safest countries in South America so you can visit with peace of mind. Cusco & Machu Picchu both have a very high altitude so we recommend preparing in advance for this type of adventure with your Mom to avoid any hiccups. There is something so magical about witnessing a world wonder together, but we want to stress that this type of trip is for the more experienced traveling Mom!
Party with Mom in Nashville
Nashville is known as music city. If you’ve got a Mom who loves to dance, this is the place to go! Even if you are not big fans of country music, you can find a spot that’s playing rock or something more to your liking. All you need to do is walk down Broadway to find a bar that suits your needs. Nashville also has great shopping and food, which is perfect to enjoy after a long night of partying!
Admire with Mom in Amsterdam
The Netherlands is a great place to travel to with your Mom, especially in the Spring. In Amsterdam you can admire the unique architecture, famous art museums & tulips. We highly recommend this trip in April so you are able to visit Keukenhof Gardens when they are in full bloom. If your Mom enjoys flowers or gardening, this is a great destination to really admire Spring’s beauty.
Devour food with Mom in Rome
For any foodie Moms, you’ll want to take them to Italy! Pizza, pasta, risotto, gelato, cannolis – the list goes on and on for reasons you should visit this culinary capital together. While Rome is known for its ancient history, it is also a modern city with world renowned restaurants. You can enjoy a busy day of sightseeing, complete with a relaxing dinner al fresco with a glass of chianti.
Get festive with Mom in Munich
If you both love Christmas, one of the best places to travel with your Mom is to Munich in December. The Germans know how to do Christmas and celebrate with markets throughout the entire city! You can sip on glühwein (mulled wine), shop for gifts and enjoy live music. From the first time Mark and I visited the Christmas Markets in Cologne, I knew this was a trip I wanted to bring our Moms on. It’s better than any Hallmark movie because it’s a real fairytale – trust me!
Road trip with Mom in Kerry
Last, but certainly not least – if you’re looking for a road trip destination with your Mom, County Kerry is the perfect place in Ireland. Driving the Ring of Kerry was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Ireland, since there are countless beautiful stops along the way. You and your Mom can rock out to some classic jams while you drive through the Irish countryside and then stop for a pint at the local pub to finish your evening.
