- Where: Paris, France
- Why: Admire Monet’s life-size water lily paintings up close and personal.

Mark: Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge
- Where: Marrakech, Morocco
- Why: It’s located off the beaten path and yet opens into this large vibrant living space with an authentic breakfast and Moroccan tea.

Amanda: Balmers Hostel & Tent Village
- Where: Interlaken, Switzerland
- Why: Built like a traditional Swiss Chalet, it’s said to be one of the oldest hostels in Europe. In the summer you have the option to camp at the base of the Alps in their Tent Village as well.

Favorite Airbnb
Mark: Charming Room Karla Dubrovnik
- Where: Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Why: Not only are you right outside King’s Landing (Dubrovnik’s Old Town) but you are welcomed at this Airbnb with beers, chips, and homemade cake from the woman who owns the place. It also has a great rooftop terrace with a view of the old walls.

Amanda: Saya Wasi – Best View of Cusco
- Where: Cusco, Peru
- Why: It has a huge window and balcony overlooking the whole city of Cusco and the host prepares a home cooked breakfast for you each morning.

- Why: Here you have gourmet tapas at their finest. Just be sure to order the mushroom risotto!

- Why: The most amazing cheese fondue and beef bourguignon, found in the heart of the Latin Quarter.

- Why: A must-have in Brussels, this sandwich comes with your choice of kebab meat, veggies, french fries (inside), and countless sauces to pick from. It was described to us as the perfect drunk food by our Belgian tour guide.

- Where: Brussels, Belgium
- Why: The first beer ever brewed by the monks at Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey in Belgium. There are only 11 trappist breweries in the world, which makes this type of beer so unique.

- Why: The Heineken Factory offers such an interactive tour, even if you don’t like beer it’s such a fun experience to learn about it’s history.

- Why: The Swiss Alps seem to go on forever atop Schilthorn, offering the best views of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau (some of the biggest mountains in the region).

- Why: This bar is multi-level, offers different themed bars (cocktails, beer, wine, etc.) and is decorated with everyday mismatched furniture, art, lamps. It’s half inside, half outside and is truly built from ruins.

- Why: You can find your own private swim spot on the uninhabited island of Lokrum. The water is crystal clear and the perfect way to cool off on a hot day.

- Why: Where else can you see a 500 carat diamond?! It’s not only home to the British crown jewels but offers some amazing views of Tower Bridge.

- Why: The moorish architecture found in the Alcazar transports you out of Spain. On top of it’s beauty, it doubles as the filming location for Dorne, land of the Sand Snakes, in HBO’s Game of Thrones.

- Where: Versailles, France
- Why: This palace is nothing short of lavish and the gardens go on for acres. It truly represents the peak of French royalty and their luxurious lives.

(2nd) Favorite City
Mark: Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Why: Dubrovnik is where many scenes from HBO’s Game of Thrones was filmed and we enjoyed spending some of our time there reenacting scenes and pretending we were in King’s Landing. It’s also got some pretty great swim spots.
